I have to say that my boycott of THE VIEW is paying dividends! My overall mood has improved. THE PRICE IS RIGHT is a truly amazing show that really does bring happiness to those who watch it. (One caveat: it is almost UNBEARABLE to watch TPIR without TiVo because all the commercials are depressing commercials for weird medications, diabetes, incontinence, and funeral insurance) Anyway, suck it, Barbara Walters! I watched THE VIEW for at least 9 out of the 11 years it was on the air, and now I'm so glad that I don't watch it any more. Did someone say Plinko? I gotta go! (click on the photos to make them bigger) I am through watching women I used to respect being berated in a disgustingly disrespectful manner every morning on THE VIEW. Elizabeth Hasselbeck's only "claim to fame" is as a losing contestant on a reality game show as Kathy Griffin recently pointed out. Ms. Griffin goes on to say "This notion that everyone has to be quiet and listen to Hasselbeck is out of control. I am not sure why [Barbara Walters] treats her like a rock star." Which brings me to my next point. It's so difficult to watch such a pioneer in journalism like Barbara Walters be daily dragged down into the muck of Hasselcoulter's robotic Republican propaganda. Joy Behar has had to put up with A LOT during her 11 years on THE VIEW and here recent nights on CNN filling in for Larry King, but nothing has compared to the daily assault by Hasselbitch. Even Whoopi Goldberg, who is usually so well-spoken and level-headed appears to be flummoxed by Hasselcoulter's venom and machine-gun style of dominating a conversation. And, it's not that Hasselcoulter is a rabid Republican mouthpiece, it's that she's the WORST kind of rabid Republican mouthpiece and she will not shut up! E.D. Hill from Fox News (of all places) was a guest host on THE VIEW one day when Hasselcoulter was "caring" for her "children," and even though E.D. Hill is probably at least as crazy for McCain/Palin/Bush/Cheney 2008 ticket as Hasselcoulter, BUT she let the other ladies speak! She let them SHARE their opinions. It was a day of pointed conversation that didn't make me want to shoot myself in the face. It's not Hasselcoulter's views, it's her. On Friday, when Elizabitch said unequivocally that she was staying on THE VIEW, I couldn't take any more. I immediately changed my TiVo season pass to record THE PRICE IS RIGHT instead of THE VIEW. Why put myself through the daily stomach-churning frustrating disgusting display on THE VIEW when I can watch old ladies and cute frat guys win "fabulous" prizes on TPIR?! And, every Friday, I'll check out Hunk du Jour for the weekly wrap-up of my favorite TPIR hotties. Sorry Barbara Walters, but you handed your 11 year ratings Juggernaut to an inexperienced Republican robot and I'm done.

As previously mentioned, my patience with Elizabitch Hasselcoulter on THE VIEW is running short. I just can't take another week of her robotic Republican screeching. Currently, she's sharing her hateful rhetoric between two Democratic primary candidates, but once a Democratic candidate is selected, her full freaked out focus will be to daily BASH the candidate. I don't need to witness that, especially when THE PRICE IS RIGHT has so much to offer in the same timeslot. She's ruined the show for me, and neither Joy nor Whoopi can stand out over her broken record shriek of "John McCain! Reverend Wright! John McCain! Reverend Wright! Terrorism! John McCain! turned THE VIEW into a Fox News morning chat show, and Barbara Walters has got TWO days left to fix it! One --actually-- since the Friday show is usually taped Wednesday or Thursday. THE PRICE IS RIGHT here I come! Drew Carey is pretty funny, and the contestants are really what make the show. TPIR is a more positive way to start the day. Cute boys! Strange prizes! The morbidly obese! "Fashions!" And, happiness!! No fighting!! No John McCain!!
Today was a mixed bag of crazy on THE VIEW. Because she wasn't a raving psycho throughout the entire show, I was tempted to only go to BITCHCON 4 today. But during the first 10 minutes of the show when Elizabeth was once again trying to defend "the surge" to Barbara Walters, I just could not believe how much Republican propaganda flies out of her mouth. She sounds like Anne Freaking Coulter! Her mouth just keeps moving so that nothing can get in through her ears, and she just exhausts the other panelists (and me) with her relentless parroting of the Bush/Cheney/McCain talking points. It's kind of sad this season that Elizabeth and Sheri, who are each grossly ignorant in her own way, do the majority of the talking on the show. Sheri went on and on about how "confused" she was about the pregnant man. Joy made a great point about how a lot of "normal" families raise "messed up" kids, and that it shouldn't matter if the kid has two moms, two dads, a grandmother and her transexual lover, as long as the kid is raised with love, it doesn't matter. But, Sheri wasn't having it. This season of THE VIEW is starting to make me want to switch back to watching THE PRICE IS RIGHT. At least the crazy bitches screaming on that show just won a car and aren't trying to scream a Republican or strictly Christian lifetstyle down my throat.
