What The Soup?!

What the?! Am I high or was THE SOUP on at 9:30 instead of 10PM tonight? Did that happen to anyone else or just me? I hope my TiVo knew! Now I'm watching 3 tigers tear a man apart in HD, instead of women on ROCK OF LOVE BUS tear each other apart in Regular D. Thanks, Joel!

Friday Already?!

Happy Friday, potatoes! After laughing my ass off at M. Night Shamalamadingdong's THE HAPPENING last night, I am ready to laugh with something not at it. So, luckily for all of us
tonight brings new episodes of THE SOUP and BEST WEEK EVER. I wish I got the Style Channel so I could also watch :D THE DISH starring Danielle Fishel, who I finally figured out was Topanga on BOY MEETS WORLD, right? But, that's on tomorrow night!

Condensed Soup

Yay, BEST WEEK EVER is back.

The Soup: Clipdown '08

Don't tell my dog, but I have a crush on Lou from TV's THE SOUP. Thank you Jeebus for THE SOUP's CLIPDOWN '08 PART II this week. What a GREAT way to start the new year (by looking back and laughing at last year)! I was originally perturbed that E! broke the Clipdown into 2 parts, but I now see the wisdom behind their madness. Perhaps one of the best things about both CLIPDOWN shows was how quickly Joel slammed his way through the lists of clips. These shows were as lean as a West Hollywood body builder. No fat. All clips. Thank you, Joel McHale, for sharing TV's bounty with me (and, y'know, everyone else too). You've AAAAALMOST restored my faith in TV. You've definitely restored my faith in cuteness.

2009 Will Be Spaghetti Cat's Year

You heard it here first. He (he? she?) broke on to the scene this year, and clawed his way past a couple of other pussies (Paris' and Britney's Brazilians) to become a media darling. But, I think in 2009, Spaghetti Cat will finally come into his own.

Spaghetti Cat Takes Over

Here's how it all started, as reported by my only source of news, Joel McHale of THE SOUP.

THE SOUP has been milking Spaghetti Cat weekly for months, but now the rest of the world is discovering the joy and mystery that is Spaghetti Cat.

Spaced out on Joel McHale - I Heart Fridays!

Holy crap - is it my birthday or something?

Fridays are my favorite day of the week. Fridays offer endless possibilities for the weekend. Fridays are when The Soup is on. I love Fridays. I love The Soup. And I love Joel McHale.

But today, today was even more special than usual.

Not only was I treated to my Joel but in a brilliant promotional plug for Spaced (a Brit com released on DVD today), Simon Pegg (the brilliant star of Spaced, Hot Fuzz, and Shaun of the Dead) made his Soup debut. So despite a rather harried day, I'm feeling much better now.

I'll be watching Spaced next week - yes, it was moved to the top of my Netflix queue this morning! So stay tuned... Until then, I'll post about SYTYCD tomorrow.

Don't Get Jealous, Joel

Yes, Joel McHale, you are foxy too. Don't get jealous of my other straight-man crush, Mmmmmorgan Spurlock. There's enough of my misguided love to go around.

My favorite SOUP quotes from this week are:

About David Cook, "There's an American Idol contestant I'd like to have a baby with!"

About the following assortment of items somehow related to a challenge on THE MOLE: an antique battery, a bowler hat, a Bunsen burner, a Victrola, and a goat; Joel said, "Now all we need is a safe word and we can get this party started. Alright!" I love it when Joel talks dirty!

"A SHOT AT LOVE WITH TILA TEQUILA is like FEAR FACTOR if Joe Rogan was a bisexual Asian midget chick... where's my plate of goat taint?!"

I love that he calls Denise Richards: It's Complicated "Denise Richards' Colon... It's Complicated"!

My favorite moment of every week's show is when Joel "takes some E!" and dances around to hot, gay dance beats. I would actually watch a 30 minute show of just that. But, enough about me.

The Soup Presents

After a brief stop-over in Seattle co-starring in the SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE timeslot-stealing local comedy show ALMOST LIVE (known locally as "ALMOST FUNNY"), super sexy Joel McHale turned up on THE SOUP on E! The show just gets better and better. And, once in a while we're treated to an extra serving of soup on Mondays. Don't miss THE SOUP PRESENTS, a thematic compilation of the best of the worst clips in a particular genre of pop culture flotsam and jetsam. Rebroadcast repeatedly throughout the week on E!
