George W. Bush is the WORST PRESIDENT in American History. And let's hope it stays that way! America could not survive another national tragedy like George W. Bush. I am among many people who still dispute the legality of his first term since was appointed to the job by his father's buddies not by the American people. It's important to remember that he was NOT elected President in 2000. He was appointed. In some ways, it could be called a "bloodless coup." Bush and Cheney took over our country from democracy. Their agenda was clear: shred the Constitution and every document created as President, empower corporations to strip the resources of the planet for their gain, and vacation... a LOT. Pure, evil greed. Few Presidents have done so much damage to our own country in 8 years. I'm still baffled that he was elected to a 2nd term, but unfortunately the blame for that lies with either Howard "Woo Woo" Dean, John "Shut The Fuck Up You Wordy Bastard" Kerry or the Republican-owned Diebold Corporation for rigging all the electronic voting machines. Either way, Americans have suffered through 8 long, tough years of lies, terrorist attacks, fearmongering, warmongering, torture, limitless government spending, environmental rape, and racial cleansing in New Orleans. When we look back on these 8 years, we will be ashamed that we allowed it to occur. If you voted for George W. Bush, you have blood on your hands from the U.S. Soldiers killed for no reason and for those tortured in the name of the United States of America. BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!

But, let's start with a little fantasy story that keeps me awake at night. Let's say Al Gore had fought a little harder or Jimmy Carter showed up to sort things out. Gore wins in 2000. Gore would have kept the deficit and the budget in check, and he would have spent the BAJILLIONS of dollars Bush has squandered on the Iraq War on new energy sources and peaceful negotiations with the world leaders. The Iraq war has cost OVER $500,000,000,000 TRILLION dollars. Do you know how many Prius' that buys? How many solar panels? How many jobs that money could create? That money could build schools, buy books, pay teachers.

9/11 happened on Bush's watch. He ignored intelligence that warned him -- and his administration -- of the impending attack and they did nothing. Bush was the Commander in Chief who allowed this attack to occur. If I was Commander in Chief and I read a memo that said, "Bin Laden Determined To Strike Inside the U.S." I might have perked up my ears a bit. Maybe put a little just-in-case plan together that did not include reading a children's book while YOUR nation was under attack. FAHRENHEIT 9/11 will be remembered as the accurate retelling of the 9/11 cover-ups committed by your regime. Its enormous box-office grosses speaks to the feeling that people do NOT feel like they got the full story from Bush or the press.

And, where is Osama Bin Laden? Finding and bringing Osama Bin Laden to the U.S. for a trial and/or execution was Bush's #1 job from 9/12 on, and he did little to find Bin Laden. He had almost 8 years to find ONE man, and he could NOT do it. I really hope that when Obama finds Osama that Osama produces the proof that Bush and Cheney were behind the 9/11 attacks on American soil. They were the only people capable of such an attack and the only ones to benefit. Devastating to the country, 9/11 was a windfall for Bush. One problem, Bin Laden's already been "taken care of" Sopranos-style or he's kickin' it in Bali with WAY more than 72 virgins by now. So, to shift the focus from Bush's greatest failure, he created his biggest mistake: The Iraq War.

Some NGOs put the Iraqi death toll including women and children at over 1 million. This is all over a war that was based on fabricated evidence and bully tactics. This call to urgent war had a hastily bullied "coalition" of a few nations but faced opposition from the U.N. and the majority of nations worldwide. But Bushy knew better. The only thing worse than going to war is STILL being at war. It's like someone gave Bush a copy of "Middle Eastern War For Dummies" and he threw it aside and made it up as he went along. Dick Cheney's former employer Haliburton and other war profiteers lined their pockets with BILLIONS of tax-payer dollars while randomly and wantonly shooting up a sovereign nation without having to adhere to ANY rule book. Those "in charge" stole from, lied to, and plundered Iraq. Thousands of American soldiers killed and Bush still sees no end in sight. No possible way out of the mess he'd created. So he surged and stalled and lied and danced and now Iraq is Obama's problem. So, hopefully soon Guantanamo Bay will be closed and the troops will start handing Iraq back to its rightful owners. Then our soldiers and their support staff can come home, get the help and treatment they need, and get on with their lives.

George Bush to New Orleans: Drown and die, I don't care! Katrina was another test that Bush failed miserably. And when Bush fails, it's something to behold. He was on vacation and paling around with buddies while New Orleans was drowning. Kanye West was the only man who said what needed to be said. Unfortunately, Mike Meyers got caught in the crossfire. I don't really care for Kanye West, but he will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart for going "off prompter" on live national TV. WAY off prompter!

And, Bush STILL doesn't get it! W. thinks that he and FEMA did a great job in New Orleans. He castigates anyone who would suggest otherwise.

The entire U.S. got royally spanked by the oil industry and Bush just went on vacation again! He sat there and watched/let it happen. Gas prices skyrocketed due to nothing more than the threat that oil prices might climb, which turned out to be a self-fulilingExxonMobil and the other scumsucking assholes who sell you gasoline made RECORD quarterly profits in the months during the price-gouging. I wonder how much stock the Bush family has in oil companies?

The Bush Legacy and the Bush Library. Are you KIDDING me?! Bush and Cheney shredded everything that could prove they did ANYTHING between 2000 and 2009. They tossed computer servers into industrial strength wood-chippers. They never told the truth. A George W. Bush Library is a sick and stupid joke. Will the library tour start with the "ABCs & 123s" and work its way through torture, regulationless corporate bacchanalia, racist/homophobic policy, exposing classified CIA agents' identities, and finish off with other civil and human rights violations? I hope Bush is hung as an International War Criminal in Switzerland before the groundbreaking on his "libary" can even occur.

And, perhaps his final racist asshole move was to deny the Obama family the right to stay at Blair House where EVERY incoming President has stayed since forEVER. Petty. Little.

Goodbye, W. You were the WORST thing to happen to America since the Civil War. Your legacy? You took a healthy country on the verge of becoming a shining beacon to the world known for peace, innovation, and justice. And, you ruined it, destroyed it, over and over and over until there was barely anything left for to hand over to your successor. You sucked our country DRY! You BLED our wallets. You burned the Constitution (along with your papers, emails, and Post-It notes). Bush's BS Presidential Library will be a black hole that sucks the truth in! It will be one small empty room, which pretty much sums you up. Hopefully, the memorial erected to the thousands or millions of people killed during your regime because of your stupidity and selfishness will more accurately reflect your impact on history and on America.

Wow, That Was a Sh!tty EIGHT Years

Since his appointment to the office of President by the Supreme Court in 2001, his colossal failures are too numerous to mention. We're over-extended in a baseless war predicated on lies for which Bush and Cheney should be tried as international war criminals. Funny thing too, where is Osama Bin Laden? The U.S. Government has condoned and used methods of torture banned by any number of treaties and basic human rights agreements. Low-level soldiers are serving prison time and paying for the orders given to them by their Commander In Chief after he threw them under the bus. McClellen, Snow, and Perino have rooms with a view waiting for them in hell. Oh, wait, I think Snow is already there. George Bush exposed CIA agent, Valerie Plame, for Dick Cheney's own personal agenda. Then covered it up, and lied about covering it up. The lies are endless. The results have been devastating. The country has run amok from the top down for too long, and there's less than 60 days left for "Fearless Leader Bush" to do his worst. I'm counting the seconds until Obama's inauguration. I hope in his first 4 years, President Obama can undo at least some of the damage done by the Bush/Cheney overthrow of the U.S. Government since 2000.

The GOP probably KNOWS for a fact that he has a terminal disease and won't live past January. Sarah Palin is a female clone of George W. Bush. She is identical in every way. Watch this clip from THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW (which I don't watch because she took away my Dan Abrams) where she (finally) calls out Palin on her bald-face straight-up lies. She sounds JUST like W. proudly lying to the American people about why we had to go to war with Iraq.

The Bush MESS

First George Bush and Dick Cheney masterminded 9/11 to scare the country into doing exactly what they wanted to do for years to come. The press caved to the Bush/Cheney post-9/11 patriotism. Citizens cowered in their duct-taped homes fearing nuclear fallout. Bush and Cheney stripped the Constitution of its teeth with the unconscionable Patriot Act. Despite huge protests in the streets by hundreds of thousands of citizens, Bush lied us into the Iraq war to scare the country into narrowly re-electing him in 2004 (with the help of the Diebold Corporation). Bush took a very narrow margin (and a loss of Congress) as a sign from God to forge ahead blindly and recklessly with his evil plan to line the pockets of his supporters at the expense of the American people. In 2000 George Bush and Dick Cheney inherited the Very United States of America: a force to be reckoned with around the globe in so many areas like science and finance and manufacturing and humanity and the arts. If we make it to January 2009, they will leave their successor the Disjointed and Disheveled States of America, a country in utter shambles. We're the laughing stock of the world --who now owns us-- and we're going down in flames. For months, I've been waiting for the Republican Regime's next "trick" to keep the country in their greedy hands. Looks like this is it. George Bush and Dick Cheney are SELLING THE COUNTRY right out from under you.

Palin Still Hiding From The Media (With Good Reason)

I love Jack Cafferty. He was a news anchor when I lived in NYC. He's always been a cranky old bastard in the BEST sense of that word. I love his daily segments on Wolf Blitzer's crazy-assed show on CNN. From Towleroad (which you should be reading EVERY day!) Cafferty: "I'm 65 and have been covering politics for a long time. That is one of the most pathetic pieces of tape I have ever seen for someone aspiring to one of the highest offices in this country."

The Sarah Palin Story As A "Bad" Disney Movie

Happy Freaky Friday. If Thursday was any indication, ANYTHING is possible today. All I know is that if John McCain weasels his way out of the debate Friday night, he is a spineless old fool whose campaign deserves to go down in flames along with his reputation. If the American people (via the Electoral College or Diebold Voting Machine Fraud) elect John McCain President with that vapid Barbie Palin as his VP, I'm moving to Denmark and becoming a heroin addict on November 5th. Matt Damon recently said, "It's like a really bad Disney movie, The Hockey Mom. 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska', and she's president!?!" Damon continues, "She's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It's absurd." Though, I personally don't think there's such a thing as a bad Disney movie (I know! I know!) here's one we're all about to live through. It would be funnier if it was so damn true and scary.

McCain Lies Again

David Letterman was understandably upset when John McCain pussied out of his appearance on the LATE SHOW, and --according to Letterman-- LIED about having to go immediately back to D.C. to "deal with the financial crisis"/duck out of the debates. McCain spent last night in DC and only returned to D.C. this morning after going on CBS Evening news (while the Letterman show was taping) and speaking at another engagement this morning. Dave spent at least 40 minutes of his show raking McCain and Palin over the coals with the help of his last-minute replacement guest, Keith "I'm Sexist but Still Hate Republicans" Olberman. It was delightfully entertaining as well as very informative. David Letterman did briefly explain why he was a fan of the "straight talking" McCain and why he has the utmost respect for the Senator and national hero, but that now, "...something smells in that campaign." I can smell it from here.

It's definitely time to remind everyone who forgot about The Keating Five. The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), and John McCain (R-AZ), were accused of improperly aiding Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of an investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB). It was political "buddies" helping a corporate swindler swindle Americans out of their entire life savings. Like Lehman Brothers has done recently, Lincoln Savings and Loan (Keating's bank) ignited the avalanche of S&L failures in the late 80's and early 90's. The ultimate cost of the Savings and Loan Crisis was estimated to have totaled around $160 billion, about $125 billion of which was directly paid for by the U.S. taxpayer. Sound familiar?

It would appear that after 7 years of cowering in George Bush's shadow of terror, fear, and control the press are in fact finally starting to "grow a pair" as Amy Pohler as Hillary Clinton admonished them to. Here's a clip of Chris Matthews actually playing hardball with a guest on HARDBALL. Charlie Gibson, you should perk up and take notes on this.

And CNN "fact checked" the McCain/Palin ads and claims so far and found many, many, many examples of half-truths, mis-statements, and outright lies. Where was THIS kind of reporting before we got royally screwed by the baseless, pointless, and costly Iraq war?

Pull Your Head Out Of Your Ass, John Mc Cain

The New York Times reports today that, "The Dow Jones industrial average plummeted more than 500 points — its worst session since the days after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. ...concerns [on Wall Street] led to a wave of last-minute selling as the Dow, already about 300 points lower, plummeted, closing down 4.4 percent or 504.48 points."

Time to wake up from your nap, John McCain, our economy is not strong, nor could it possibly withstand another 4-8 more years of George Bush and John McCain's Republican-pocket-lining economic "plans." McCain will put the final nail in the coffin of this country.

No Comment: Sarah Palin Continues Hiding From The Media

While Vice Presidential Candidate and experience-free gun-toting hockey-mom, Sarah Palin, is HIDING FROM THE PRESS and continues to avoid addressing the issues, a few things have surfaced about her choices as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. While in office, she supported a policy which charged rape victims for their rape-kit examinations. If you've just been raped, I have to assume that the last thing you want to be asked is, "Will you be paying by cash, check, or credit card for your rape kit?" From the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman newspaper back in 2000 when Palin was mayor of Wasilla, "'In the past we've charged the cost of exams to the victims insurance company when possible. I just don't want to see any more burden put on the taxpayer'," Wasilla Police Chief (under Sarah Palin) Charlie Fannon said. " A police chief from the neighboring town of Palmer, Alaska said in the same article, "Chief Laren Zager said that to his knowledge, no sexual assault victim has ever been billed by the city of Palmer for an exam to collect evidence of a crime. Zager, who has been police chief since January, said he would never expect a victim to be burdened with the cost of a police investigation. I'm prepared to pay every dime in an investigation. As long as I am chief, I would never bill a victim, Zager said." Palin apparently didn't agree, but a state law forced her to absorb the cost of crime victims in her town instead of billing them for the crime committed against them. That's sound judgement we can trust for the future. NOT!

Screw Tina Fey, It's Harriet Miers I'm Worried About

Many people are talking about how much Sarah (gag) Palin reminds them of Tina Fey. Screw Tina Fey! Sarah Palin reminds ME of Harriet Miers! Doesn't anyone else remember the "scare tactics" the GOP used to get Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Conner replaced by that complete Republican right-wing nut job, Alito? They used the ol' bait and switch tactics. Trot out some crazy unqualified bitch to get people all riled up and then sneak a man in the back door while everyone's losing their shit. Well, while Palin is mouthing off about guns, teenage pregnancy, and her lies about not supporting the Alaskan Bridge To Nowhere (look it up, people!) the GOP is probably preparing Dick Cheney for another 8 years as VP on the same life-support making occasional public appearances.
